Delicious mocktail recipes for non-drinkers

Organising a cocktail party and don’t know what to serve to teetotallers? Here is a collection of healthy yet lip smacking mocktail recipes using sodas, fresh fruits, herbs, juices and syrups. Let your guests enjoy the fun of a cocktail- minus the alcohol. All these recipes are popular among children and adults alike.

Shirley Temple
This drink was invented in the honour of Hollywood star Shirley Temple who was too young to drink alcoholic beverage then.

Ingredients:
250 ml Limca/ Sprite/ 7Up
25 ml Monin grenadine syrup
15 ml orange juice
For garnish: orange slice and  preserved cherry

Directions:
Fill a glass with ice. Pour Limca, Monin grenadine syrup, orange juice and stir. Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry.

 

Virgin Mary
This mocktail has all the benefits of the Bloody Mary and none of its alcohol. It’s a heady mix of spices and sauces, with tomato juice binding the flavours together.

Ingredients:
120 ml tomato juice
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
2-3 drops tabasco sauce
Pepper to taste

Directions:
Pour all the ingredients in a shaker or a glass and stir. Rub a lemon wedge along the rim of a glass. Spread some salt on a plate and place the glass upside down on the plate. Dust off excess salt.  Now, you can transfer the contents in this salt rimmed glass. Don’t forget to add some ice!

 

Tropical Delight
Fresh tropical fruits, ice cream and coconut water work together to make this refreshingly sweet and creamy drink.

Ingredients:
2 oz coconut milk
3 oz pineapple juice
3 oz mango juice
1 small banana
1 scoop vanilla ice cream

Directions:
Blend all the ingredients together in a blender, until it’s smooth and creamy. Pour in a fancy glass, add ice and serve with a slice of pineapple on the rim.

 

Tornado Twist
A recipe so easy even children can make it. This fizzy drink is generally enjoyed by all age groups.

Ingredients:
• 120 ml cranberry-raspberry juice
• 120 ml Limca/ 7Up/ Sprite

Directions:
Pour the ingredients in a glass, add some ice and give it a good stir. It gets ready in less than 30 seconds.
